Atlantics Come Up Short at Mepkin Abbey
|
The Mepkin Abbey Monks got their 2035 season off and running with a win over the Wilmington Atlantics at Old League Park. The final score was 4-3. Mepkin Abbey catcher Roberto García was named player of the game. Getting the save was Simon Beers, his 1st.
García had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Monks went on to win.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," García told the Mepkin Abbey Today.
