Wilmington withstood an impressive performance by Mepkin Abbey center fielder António Zumaya to defeat the Monks, 7-5, at Old League Park. Zumaya went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Michael Russell got credit for the win, improving to 8-14. He allowed 4 runs on 10 hits in 6.1 innings. Valentín Cedeño got the save, his 27th in 30 chances.
