At the age of 27, Alfredo Olivo might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Mexico City center fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days collecting the Sub League 1 Player of the Week Award.
He racked up 9 hits in 24 at-bats, 4 home runs and 9 RBIs last week in 6 games.
So far in 2020, Olivo is batting .232 with 11 home runs and 57 RBIs.

 | Wednesday, July 1st, 2020: Sub League 1 Announces June's Top Pitcher
The Sub League 1 announced the winner of the Pitcher of the Month Award for June.
It went to Michael Sanders of Mexico City for his outstanding 4-0 record and 1.35 ERA.
Sanders also chalked up 4 starts, 33.1 innings and 17 strikeouts.
Sanders has made 17 starts so far this year and put up a 9-6 won-lost record with a 3.55 ERA. In 124.1 innings he has allowed 109 hits, walked 37 and struck out 69.

A perfect game!
A perfect game for Michael Sanders!
No runs! No hits! No errors! And nobody left on!
The Mexico City hurler made league history today with a 11-0 no-hit triumph over the Dayton Fliers at Chicks Stadium.
"I can't take all the credit," Sanders told reporters after the game. "6 K's alone doesn't equal 27 outs. If the defense hadn't used the gloves we wouldn't be talking about this right now."
That may be true, but with electric stuff and pinpoint control he had the Dayton batters guessing wrong all day. So it's Michael Sanders who gets written into the record book for an outstanding effort in today's perfect game.
Sanders has a 8-6 season record so far. In 16 starts, he has fanned 66 batters in 116.1 innings with a 3.71 ERA.
