Breaking News Sunday, May 24th, 2020: Espinoza Goes 5-6 All game long Durham College's Román Espinoza was rattling the walls at Sheepdogs Ballpark and banging out base hits against the Buechel College Bison. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Sheepdogs had a 19-11 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 19-year-old second baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." R. Espinoza walked in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, singled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th. Espinoza is batting .370 with 2 home runs and 21 RBIs this season. Tuesday, April 28th, 2020: O'Dell Torches Bison for 5 Hits Rochelle College defeated Buechel College today at Bison Stadium. The highlight of the game was third baseman Nate O'Dell. His hitting heroics included a 5-5 day with the bat and paved the way for a Beachcombers 17-11 triumph over the Bison. N. O'Dell singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. So far in 2020 O'Dell is hitting .378 with 1 home run, 12 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has 34 hits and played in 24 games. Sunday, April 12th, 2020: Highlanders Shut out by Hamilton Dave Hamilton made quick work of Raleigh College, blanking the Highlanders 7-0 at Bison Stadium today.
