The Sky Warriors were defeated 9-7 today at Sky Warriors Ballpark by the Highlanders, but you can't say Van Beatty didn't give it his best try. The Sky Warriors third baseman came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Beatty and a tough day for Louisville College.
"I just go up there and swing away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan."
No plan or not, Beatty delivered today... 5-5 is outstanding in any league.
V. Beatty hit a three-run home run off M. Archuleta in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This season Beatty is swinging the bat at a .313 pace. He has hit 3 home runs and scored 32 times, while driving in 29. His on-base percentage is .372 and he has played in 49 games.

| Monday, May 18th, 2020: Week's Premier Player: Louisville College's Crespo
So far in his young career, Bartolo Crespo has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the SDMB College in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.
The 18-year-old Louisville College Sky Warriors left fielder hit at a torrid .538 clip as he collected 14 hits in 26 at-bats, 5 home runs, 10 RBIs and 8 runs scored.
Crespo is hitting .325 in 2020 with 13 home runs, 32 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He has 53 hits in 163 at-bats and played in 40 games.

| Thursday, May 7th, 2020: Settignano Raps Faber College for 5 Hits
It was a sensational day at the plate for Yvon Settignano as he led the charge to a 18-7 win over the Sunrays.
The Louisville College right fielder was pure misery for the Faber College pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
The manager for the Sunrays told BNN reporters after the game, "Settignano put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Y. Settignano doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off A. Martínez in the 8th.
In 2020 Settignano has hit at a .374 clip with 49 hits, 12 home runs, 22 RBIs and has scored 34 times.
