Breaking News Tuesday, May 12th, 2020: Staten Island HS Snaps Santos's Streak at 25 José Santos of the Kansas City HS Squirrels came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 1 at-bat. That put a quick end to his 25-game hitting streak. To make matters even worse, Kansas City HS dropped the game to the Staten Island HS Explorers 10-3. In a post-game comment Santos told the press, "It was not a good day today. We lost the game and the streak is over." This season Santos is batting .401 with 6 home runs.
