Today at Sea Dogs Ballpark Toledo HS lost to Newark HS 9-6, but Mike Brown kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 1 hit. The Sea Dogs second baseman has now delivered hits in 20 straight games.
M. Brown flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 8th.
This year Brown is hitting at a .335 pace with no home runs and 22 RBIs. He has played in 34 games and scored 28 times.

The Sea Dogs knocked off the Bluffers today by the score of 4-3, but Newark HS left fielder Baltwin Nuijs still managed to extend his hitting streak to 25 games. He finished the day with 1 hit in 5 at-bats.

 | Friday, May 8th, 2020: Hastings Tags Bluffers for 5 Hits
Today at Field of the Jackals Jeff Hastings put on a hitting clinic as the Northwood HS shortstop sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Newark HS pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. But the Bluffers didn't really seem to care, they won the game 17-12.
He told BNN reporters after the game that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch. It's great to get 5 hits, but it would have been nicer to win the ballgame. too."
J. Hastings singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run triple in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
