Port Isabel HS second baseman Qi-chao Qian had the hot hand today in the game against the Goths at Goths Ballpark. He scorched Glendale HS pitching for 5 hits and paced the Ants to a 24-4 victory.
Q. Qian singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off A. Musselman in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
This season Qian is batting .408 with 60 hits, 8 home runs, 49 RBIs, .440 OBP and has scored 36 runs.

 | Tuesday, May 5th, 2020: Santos Stretches Hit String to 20
The Squirrels proved to be mere mortals today as they lost to the Ants 8-5, but José Santos continued his god-like hitting as he collected 1 hit and ran his hitting streak to 20 games.
When asked about his torrid-hitting third baseman, the Kansas City HS skipper said, "Santos is playing great and is on fire now. Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."
Santos was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said, "We lost the game. Nothing else really matters."
J. Santos flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and doubled in the 8th.
In 2020 Santos is batting .406 with 6 home runs.

 | Tuesday, April 28th, 2020: Beak Belts 5 Hits
Jeffrey Beak had a huge game today at Ballpark of Tulsa HS. He rapped 5 hits in 5 tries and helped the Tulsa HS Commanders overcome the Port Isabel HS Ants 21-8.
J. Beak hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, walked in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off R. Pérez in the 8th.
This year Beak has hit at a .419 pace and produced 30 RBIs, 5 home runs and scored 20 runs.
