Breaking News | | Wednesday, July 9th, 2014: Sternwheelers Blank Steamers, Wooster Wins In an excellent mound performance, Frank Wooster of the River Cities Sternwheelers whitewashed the Cleveland Steamers 6-0 on a 1-hitter.
He said after the game, "I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches."
The Cleveland manager said, "We just didn't swing the bats well today. Wooster did a good job keeping us guessing."
In all, the River Cities hurler rang up 3 strikeouts and 1 walk in the shutout win.

He has an ERA of 3.05 and has fanned 77 batters in 106.1 innings. | | Friday, June 13th, 2014: Year Over for Steamers Pearsall The season is finished for Christopher Pearsall of the Cleveland Steamers. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Steamers center fielder suffered a torn abdominal muscle while running the bases in a recent game against the Danville Dans. Team doctors said it would take at least 7 months to heal.
