Monday, July 14th, 2014: Brooklyn Catcher Week's Best in AL
There's nothing like being in the prime of your baseball career -- and playing like it. Just ask Beau Manning, the Brooklyn catcher, who swung a sweet bat all week to not only aid his team, but also pick up the Adams League Player of the Week honors.

Manning piled up 9 hits in 22 at-bats, 4 home runs and 11 RBIs while hitting .409.

This year Manning is hitting .242 with 78 hits, 26 home runs, 60 RBIs and has scored 45 runs.
Tuesday, June 17th, 2014: Brooklyn's Coghlan Sidelined for Season
Nelson Coghlan will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and stated the Brooklyn starting pitcher could miss the remainder of the year. Coghlan was injured while throwing a pitch in the Wolves-Huskers clash at Old League Park recently. Doctors said he has a torn tricep muscle and would be out a minimum of 8 months.

Coghlan has posted a 5-5 record in 2014 with a 4.52 ERA. Teams are hitting .293 against him and he has rung up 54 strikeouts in 65.2 innings.
Monday, June 16th, 2014: Potent Bat Pays Off, Banks Player of the Week
One of the league's most exciting young players, James Banks of the Brooklyn Wolves earned himself Adams League Player of the Week honors with a standout performance in last week's games.

For the week the 25-year-old second baseman had a lofty .481 average (13-27), collecting 3 home runs, 5 RBIs and 7 runs scored.

This year Banks is hitting at a .316 pace with 11 home runs and 29 RBIs. He has played in 64 games and scored 46 times.
