A veritable toddler to the Adams League, Preston Giorgi just sewed up the Rookie of the Month trophy for June.
Over the past month the 25-year-old first baseman for Houston hit .319 with 29 hits, 6 home runs and 16 runs batted in. He also logged 5 walks and compiled a .351 on-base percentage.
This year Giorgi is batting .272 with 14 home runs. He has scored 33 runs and driven in 41.

 | Tuesday, July 1st, 2014: Timothy Mendiola Winner in June
When Timothy Mendiola stepped up to the plate in June, he did it with confidence and today he was honored with the Adams League Batter of the Month award.
The young Houston second baseman posted a .433 batting average with no home runs, 13 RBIs and scored 29 runs. Mendiola also worked pitchers for 19 walks to post a .521 on-base percentage.
In 77 games this season Mendiola has compiled a .341 batting average with 94 hits and 3 home runs. He has also scored 56 times and knocked in 32 runs.

| Monday, June 23rd, 2014: Star of the Week Honored in AL
Timothy Mendiola demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the Adams League Player of the Week Award.
The Houston second baseman wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .542 average (13-24) with no home runs and 6 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor.
Currently Mendiola is batting .341 with 87 hits and 3 home runs. He has knocked in 29 runs and scored 50 times.
