Saskatoon fans will be disappointed to learn that Winston Satterlee developed a herniated disc while colliding with a player at a base in today's game. After the doctor informed the Saskatoon Amigos manager that Satterlee was expected to miss 3 months, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the second baseman could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper.
So far in 2014 Satterlee is hitting .264 with 4 home runs, 16 RBIs and 39 runs scored. He has 73 hits and played in 69 games.

 | Tuesday, June 10th, 2014: Armadillos Chill Murry's Hot Streak
The Amigos lost to Houston today by the score of 8-3 at San Fran Stadium, but the bigger story was the end of a hit streak. Saskatoon center fielder Rufus Murry was working on a 25-game hitting streak, but went 0-for-3 against the Armadillos as the hot stretch came to an end.
Murry is batting at a .329 pace in 2014, picking up 80 hits in 243 at-bats with 9 home runs, 40 RBIs and 42 runs scored.

| Monday, June 9th, 2014: Murry Hits in 25 Straight Games
Rufus Murry's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 25 games. The Saskatoon center fielder smacked 2 hits against Houston in today's game at San Fran Stadium to extend it, but he has mixed emotions about it.
After losing to the Houston Armadillos, Murry told reporters, "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose."
R. Murry grounded out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 9th.
This year Murry is hitting .333 with 9 home runs.
