| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, July 1st, 2014: Cropper Acclaimed Top Pitcher in June
James Cropper was the anchor in the Maui bullpen last month and snatched up the Adams League Pitcher of the Month honors for June. The 30-year-old is in the prime of his career and pitching like he intends to stay around baseball for quite some time to come.
He threw 20.1 innings over 14 relief appearances and collected a 5-1 record with 11 strikeouts and 2 saves while etching his 1.33 ERA.
To this point in the season he has had 4 saves. Cropper has made 36 relief appearances, tossed 47.2 innings and struck out 40 with a record of 6 wins and 2 losses.

 | Sunday, June 15th, 2014: Seattle, Maui Agree to Swap
Seattle and Maui have agreed to a trade today. 23-year old starting pitcher Robert Gibson will go to the Mashers. In exchange the Monarchs will receive 22-year old shortstop Paulino Reyes.
In 2 starts this year Gibson has crafted a 2-2 record and a 3.76 ERA.
This season Reyes is batting .326 with 4 RBIs, 7 runs scored and 1 home run.

 | Friday, May 30th, 2014: Octavio Cabrales Suffers Injury
Octavio Cabrales of the Maui Mashers was injured in today's game against Seattle and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is a torn thigh muscle and he is expected to be out for up to 3 weeks. It happened while Cabrales was running the bases. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field."
So far in 2014, Cabrales is batting .350 with 15 home runs and 45 RBIs.
