His manager said, "When he's locating his pitches, he becomes unpredictable. He had Akron guessing the entire game."

Talking to BNN writers after the game, his manager said, "He's got the makeup. He's not afraid to challenge guys. Teddy is pretty poised out there. He knows how to pitch and how to use his stuff."

In a post-game comment Velásquez told the press, "It was not a good day today. We lost the game and the streak is over."
