| Breaking News |  | Monday, August 17th, 2020: Oligarchs Sweep Kalmar
The Oligarchs rolled over Kalmar 4-2 at Field of the Boas to easily win the 2020 Round 1 crown.
Olympia won in a walk and swept the series from the Unionists 4-0. It was their 3rd championship title.
The winning manager praised his own club as well as the opposition, "It wasn't as easy as it looked. We had to play good baseball to beat them. The Unionists are a fine team, but we always seemed to come up with the key hit at the right time and to make the the plays on defense when we had to. That's how you win the Round 1."
The Oligarchs took first place in the Sub League 1 and rounded out the year with a 70-50 record.

| Monday, July 27th, 2020: Hannah Shuts out Sharks
An efficient outing for Tony Hannah usually means a win for Kalmar. Today was no exception, as the 25-year-old starter held Spreckelsville to a long line of goose eggs. He struck out 4 and gave up 4 hits in the 2-0 shutout.
This season Hannah has compiled a 5-2 mark with a 3.58 ERA in 8 starts.

In a standout performance today at Ballpark of Cincinnati, Pups pitcher Juan Ventura blanked the Kalmar Unionists 7-0. He limited them to 5 hits and posted 6 strikeouts and 4 walks to gain the win for Flatbush.
In 2020 Ventura has compiled a 5-8 mark with a 5.83 ERA in 16 starts.
